You will be conveniently picked up and dropped off at your residential address by one of our qualified mentors.

At Mighty Mentors, we collaborate with a wide network of trusted accommodation providers to offer you Short Term Respite options tailored to your individual support needs. We’ll provide a selection of suitable options located close to your planned activities. If you require wheelchair access, a shower chair, or any other mobility equipment, simply let us know — we’ll make sure everything is arranged to meet your needs.

Support is offered at a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio, depending on your needs. After we learn more about your preferences and support requirements, we’ll organise a Meet & Greet with a suitable mentor from our team of experienced staff prior to STR commencement.

Our Short Term Respite services are flexible and fully tailored to support your unique NDIS goals. Whether you’re building independence, preparing for SIL, would like to improve emotional self-regulation, giving your regular carers a break, or focusing on specific skills like time management, meal planning, or communication—your goals shape the experience. The possibilities are endless. Contact our friendly team to find out how we can help you thrive. Further goals might include but are not limited to:

Goal: Strengthening daily living skills
Our respites are designed to empower individuals with disabilities by enhancing their daily living skills outside of their usual home environment. These programs are facilitated through mentored overnight stays, during which participants receive support with morning and evening routines, meal preparation, and organizational skills for the day ahead.

Goal: Increasing independence in the community
We offer a diverse range of activities thoughtfully curated to foster community integration and promote independence. Participants engage in accomplishing new tasks and stepping beyond their comfort zones within a safe and supportive setting. Selected activities may include, but are not limited to, surf lessons, art classes, nature excursions, visits to public spaces (such as AQWA, theatres and museums), cooking classes, and more.
