Co-Founder

Alana Campbell

Hi, I’m Alana, Co-Founder of Mighty Mentors! My journey in this incredible sector began roughly 13 years ago when I volunteered at Ursula Frayne Mental health unit in Mount Lawley. Since then, I‘ve had the privilege of working in numerous roles within the disability and mental health space – ranging from a support worker and mentor, group program facilitator, service coordinator, and most recently as a support coordinator.

My passion for helping people with disabilities and mental health challenges comes from lived experience through my younger brother, who was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder at a young age. It was through his personal challenges that intrigued me to learn more about how his disorder affected his behaviours, life experiences and daily functioning.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, keeping fit and healthy, and have recently started fostering cats!

Co-Founder

Ashley Stent

Hi, I’m Ash, co-founder of Mighty Mentors, and I’m excited to share my story with you. Raised in Melbourne, Victoria, in a big, close-knit family, I learned early on the value of connection and community—values I carry with me today. In 2006, I made Perth my home, bringing that same sense of togetherness along.

My career path has been varied and rewarding. I owned and operated multiple successful transport businesses in Melbourne before embarking on a seven-year journey as an underground miner in Perth. Driven by my passion for wellness, I then founded an all-natural supplement business. After returning to mining, I felt a deep desire to create something more meaningful. I took a leap of faith to co-found Mighty Mentors, stepping away from a stable job to build an organisation dedicated to empowering others.

The last three years have been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m immensely proud of the exceptional team we’ve assembled at Mighty Mentors. Their commitment and enthusiasm fuel our mission every day. On a personal note, my son Hunter, who lives with autism, and my cherished dog Hysie are my greatest sources of strength, joy, and inspiration. They continually remind me why our work fostering connection and growth is so vital.

Operations Manager

Kirsten Womack

Hi, I’m Kirsten, I’ve spent nearly 30 years working in management across industries like construction, logistics, and allied health and one thing I’ve learned along the way is that great teams are at the heart of every successful organization.

I love creating the systems and processes that keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, so our people can focus on what really matters: supporting our clients and each other. I’m passionate about helping others do their best work, building a culture of collaboration and care, and finding smarter ways to make things work better for everyone.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me camping, hanging out with my dog, or catching up with friends and family. I’m really proud to be part of the Mighty Mentors team and excited for everything we’ll continue to achieve together.

Assistant Manager/ Senior Service Coordinator

Melissa Thorncroft

Hi, I’m Melissa—though everyone calls me Mel! I’ve been with Mighty Mentors since day one, starting out as a mentor and proudly growing into my current role as Senior Service Coordinator and Office Manager. Being part of this incredible team has been an absolute joy. I’ve cherished every moment of contributing to our shared mission—guiding and supporting mentors, helping them thrive in their roles, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and uplifting team environment.

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my daughter and partner—whether it’s heading to the beach or enjoying everyday adventures together. I’m deeply passionate about helping people grow and thrive, and I’m dedicated to supporting others in becoming the best versions of themselves.

Service Coordinator

Cindy Billington

My name is Cindy, and I am the Service Coordinator at Mighty Mentors. I have been working in the disability sector for over 18 years, gaining experience across a variety of roles including support worker, team leader, and Coordinator for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and respite homes. I have also coordinated group activities and community access services, with a strong focus on person-centred support and empowering individuals to achieve their goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy catching up with friends and spending quality time with my much-loved GSD Sasha.

Service Coordinator

Amber O’Flanagan

I’m the new Service Coordinator at Mighty Mentors, and I contribute to the team by connecting and communicating effectively with participants and their families to ensure they receive the best possible support. I am brand new to this sector, as my career for the last 19 years has involved working with children. I am thoroughly enjoying this new role and the opportunity to meet so many interesting people. I feel as if I am making a positive contribution to people’s lives.

In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my family. We enjoy visiting local markets, heading to the beach, exploring the Perth Hills, and taking mini-breaks around Australia.

Accounts Manager/ HR Assistant

Melinda Leedham

In my late teen – early twenties, I was a volunteer camp counselor for kids with special needs.  I always loved the work, providing care and experiences for these amazing, resilient little angels.

I have spent most of my working life in various accounts and admin roles, and enjoy both aspects.  I’m really happy to bring these skills and experiences to a company like Mighty Mentors.  Supporting people and the community is something I’ve always felt passionate about.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my two amazing children.  I love to read and listen to music.  I enjoy quiz nights and karaoke with my friends.

Event Coordinator/Camp Facilitator

Nina Philipp

Hi, I’m Nina – Event Coordinator and Group Program Facilitator at Mighty Mentors.

Both personally and professionally, I’ve always been passionate about the art of creating exceptional experiences that leave a lasting impact. After working across a range of industries in the events space, I felt drawn to a more socially driven, inclusive, and empowering environment — and that’s what led me to Mighty Mentors.

Here, I have the privilege of organising and facilitating meaningful group programs and respite experiences alongside an incredible, genuine team. Together, we support and grow with our participants every step of the way.

Outside of work, I love going camping with my husband, indulge in hours of reading fantasy, play board games with friends, enjoy yoga and a variety of creative hobbies such as knitting, macramé and drawing 😊

Scheduling Officer

Dominic Greenhalgh

Hi, I’m Dominic – most people call me Dom! Originally from the UK, I’m excited to be part of the Mighty Mentors team as the new Scheduling Coordinator, I bring over 14 years of experience supporting people with additional needs to feel confident, capable and understood. My background includes payroll delivery within the disability sector. I love building genuine connections and creating a positive space where individuals can grow and reach their goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time with my children, and spending time at the many beautiful beaches here in Perth. And if I’m lucky I might even learn how to play golf without people needing to take cover!

Admin Officer

Jacquie Ward

I’ve been the Admin Officer at MM since March 2024, supporting the team with documents, admin tasks, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.

I enjoy bringing a warm, positive attitude to the workplace and offering support wherever I can. It means a lot to be part of a team that helps people access the support and care they need.

My husband and I have been blessed with three beautiful children. When I’m not working, I love being with my family—spending time outdoors, with our animals, or with our close friends.

Chief Chaos Officer (CCO)

Hysie

Meet Hysie Chief Mischief Officer & Resident Heart-Melter

Don’t let the side-eye fool you: beneath that majestic fluff and suspiciously angelic face beats the soul of a certified chaos goblin. Hysie is the office’s self-appointed morale enforcer, which mostly involves stealing lunches, photobombing video calls, and launching sudden zoomie attacks when the printer dares to make a noise.

Around other dogs he’s… let’s call it “passionately expressive” (translation: he has zero chill and will dramatically announce his feelings to the entire park). But give him five minutes, a belly rub, and a splash in any body of water (pool, lake, suspicious puddle, your coffee—he’s not picky) and he transforms into the sweetest, sopping-wet love-bug you’ve ever met. Hysie doesn’t just work here. He runs the place. One tail wag at a time. 🐾💦

Chief Morale Officer (CMO)

Scout

Meet Scout Chief Morale Officer & Professional Couch Ornament

If serenity had fur, it would look exactly like Scout. This magnificent loaf of a dog spends his days radiating big golden-retriever zen, usually sprawled across the most inconvenient walkway possible, sighing happily while collecting pats like they’re his full-time salary.

He is unflappable. Printer jams? Zoom lag? Deadline doom? Scout simply rolls onto his back, paws in the air, and reminds everyone that everything is actually fine. Toys are his love language (especially the ones that go squeak-squeak-squeak until security threatens to intervene), and he’ll happily trade you one slobbery tennis ball for your undivided attention. Scout doesn’t fetch the ball. He fetches joy. And then he naps on it. Welcome to the chill zone. Population: Scout. 🐾✨
